Neil’s Bio

About Neil Bastian, PT, LMT
- Growing up quickly in NYC, Neil followed his passion for sports and excellence. Having earned early childhood bragging rights in such notable inner city games as “stick ball,” “strike box,” “flag football” and school yard hoops, Neil set his sights on that elusive boyhood dream of professional athletics.
- Since those formative years, Neil has traveled, worked and lived about the country as an athlete, a student, a patient, a volleyball coach, a YMCA fitness professional, an aerobics instructor, a massage therapist, and a physical therapist. He started Bastian Physical Therapy in 1998 and is sole owner/practitioner.
- Inheriting his father’s fondness and talent for tinkering and repairing most anything, Neil finds many parallels in his current work. He always had a knack for physics. With a lifetime of experiences and study, Neil knows bodies and he knows a little bit about how to fix them.

- Cycling and kayaking, home projects, enjoying friends and family, playing chess, and caring for Logan, a 3 year old Westy pup, provides the backdrop whenever Neil is not caring for his patients.
- Neil gains a great deal of inner satisfaction helping others. He has created a special place for both working and living and welcomes the opportunity to share this with others.
- Neil confesses a “love/hate” relationship with technology and can often be found developing unique and affordable classes for his patients and the community.
- Traveling and exploring warmer shores also keep him motivated to stay fit.
